Audi Club of Georgia member, Carl, spotted over 12 brand new Audi A8 quattros (fully loaded, no doubt) parked in an Atlanta parking garage. Along side the A8s were some of its competitors (BMW, Lexus and Mercedes). We’re not sure what they were doing there, but we’ll let you know when we find out. Our best guess is that it is the latest iteration of the Audi Driving Experience.

We want your feedback! Even though summer just officially started a few weeks ago, it’s time to start planning for the fall. Let us know what you’d like to do for a weekend outing in October (think: changing leaves and cooler temps)!
Two weeks ago, we announced that our club was attempting to undergo a name change. Well, now the voting is closed and the results are in: 100% of the votes submitted by our members were ‘YES’.
What does this mean? It means that we are officially the Audi Club of Georgia (a.k.a. Audi Club North America, Georgia Chapter). It also means that people looking in to joining our club will no longer be confused by our name (many people thought that we only represented Cherokee County, Georgia).
It is our sincere hope that this change will bring about increased membership and improve the quantity and quality of our events. We will still continue to host events throughout the southeast, and members of neighboring chapters are still welcome to attend our meetings, HPDE’s, scenic drives and social events.
Stay tuned as we update our website content. From now on, you can find us on the web at: http://www.audiclubga.com
We will also be holding a contest to see who can come up with the best logo for the club!
Chapter members can contact us to request a full break-down of the voting results. Our privacy policy does not permit us to member names or contact information publicly.
You’re invited to an invitation only informal sneak peek tour of the future home of Atlanta Motorsports Park (AMP), in Dawsonville, GA exclusively for Audi Club members. Ground has been broken and construction is well under way.
Join us on Saturday, July 10th at 9:30 AM (RSVP requested) as the Founder and his team give us a walk-through of the under construction course and the facilities. So wear some shoes you can get dirty! You don’t want miss this very special opportunity. To RSVP, please visit the event page and fill out the registration form at the bottom of the page.
Since it’s founding, the Cherokee Audi Club has represented ACNA members across the state of Georgia. While our members understand this, many non-members do not, leading them to believe that we only represent a portion of the state, or even just Cherokee County. Last month, the Audi Club North America, Cherokee Chapter Board of Directors decided to address this issue. After hours of discussion, they unanimously voted to change our name to “Audi Club North America, Georgia Chapter”, operating as “Audi Club of Georgia”. Last Monday, the ACNA National Board of Directors approved this change, leaving one final, but very important, step: approval from the chapter members.
If you are a current member, we need to hear from you!
Please send an email to: vote@cherokeeaudiclub.com and tell us: Yes or No to the name change and your member number.
Your member number is located on your membership card and on the back side of the cover of each Quattro Quarterly magazine. If you have an idea for an event or a suggestion for the club in general, please feel free to send us your feedback at any time!
Earlier this month, we entered a photo from the 4 rings photo shoot into a photo contest held by Audi on Facebook. Last night Audi announced that our photo had won the contest!
Thanks to everyone who participated in this event. Without each and every one of you, it would not have been possible!
Prints of the ‘4 Rings’ are available for purchase for $25 at all of our events, or $30 online.

2010 Petit Le Mans Countdown
The countdown for the 2010 Petit Le Mans ALMS race is underway. This year, Audi Sport Team Joest will contest the U.S. endurance classic “Petit Le Mans” at Road Atlanta on September 26 with two Audi R15 TDI cars. Don’t miss your chance to see Audi Sport’s comeback after last year’s short-lived race.
As valued Audi owners, Audi Club North America members (with active memberships) will receive priority registration prior to the general registration period.
